چکیده
A generalization of the Degradation-Entropy Generation (DEG) theorem to multi-disciplinary multi-physics system-process analysis via a combination with pre-existing system models is presented in this article. Existing and DEG methodology are reviewed, method for evaluating degradation coefficients Bi proposed. These characterize system’s transformation based on active dissipative mechanisms, including temperature effects. The consistency entropy generation characterizing then inherited by these often-empirical models, thereby rendering them more robust applicable similar systems without need numerous tests measurements model corrections. approach applies all can quickly analyze predict performance degradation, even absence experimental data (using known properties material constants). Demonstrated applications herein include mechanically loaded (frictional wear, grease shearing, fatigue loading), electrochemical energy systems, thermal processes, others.

Generating Navigation Models from Existing Building Data
Research on indoor navigation models mainly focuses on geometric and logical models .The models are enriched with specific semantic information which supports localisation, navigation and guidance. Geometric models provide information about the structural (physical) distribution of spaces in a building, while logical models indicate relationships (connectivity and adjacency) between the spaces....

Nanofluids are gaining much importance over the past decade due to their enhanced thermal conductivity, specific heat, cooling capacity, electrical conductivities. Novel properties of nanofluids are yet to be explored to the highest potential applications. One of the prominent applications of nanofluids is in thermal conduction. The presence of nanoparticle in a fluid can enhance the thermal co...

متن کاملEvaluating Models of Cellulose Degradation by Fibrobacter succinogenes S85
Fibrobacter succinogenes S85 is an anaerobic non-cellulosome utilizing cellulolytic bacterium originally isolated from the cow rumen microbial community. Efforts to elucidate its cellulolytic machinery have resulted in the proposal of numerous models which involve cell-surface attachment via a combination of cellulose-binding fibro-slime proteins and pili, the production of cellulolytic vesicle...
متن کاملHolistically Evaluating Agent Based Social System Models
The philosophical perspectives on model evaluation can be broadly classified into reductionist/logical positivist and relativist/holistic. In this paper, we outline some of our past efforts in, and challenges faced during, evaluating models of social systems with cognitively detailed agents. Owing to richness in the model, we argue that the holistic approach and consequent continuous improvemen...
